Bulk Abaca Fiber
Pacha Fibers bulk abaca fiber is sourced directly from Ecuador's premier abaca-producing regions, available in different grades depending on the part of the pseudostem from which it is extracted. Grade 2 is an extra-fine, white fiber obtained from the inner part of the stalk, characterized by its softness, sheen and high quality, used in the manufacture of specialty papers such as banknotes and tea-bag filters. Grades 3 and 4 are whitish to cream-colored fibers from the middle layers of the pseudostem, widely demanded for specialty pulp, technical papers, wrappers, filters and industrial reinforcement applications. Grade 5 is a thicker, stronger fiber with brown to dark-brown tones, extracted from the outer layers, mainly intended for cordage, fishing nets and high-strength structural uses.
